We would like to introduce ourselves, together we bring to you our home-based business since 2017 - Owners of
Wooden Way Creations.
Charlie is the master craftsman who, like a child in a candy store, gets excited shopping and searching for wood sources, for wonderful patterns of wood grain, cutting into the fresh wood and discovering the natural and raw ingredients. And finally bringing to you a finished and finely tuned piece of beauty you have or will come to appreciate and love.
In Susan's role she gets excited to assist with new product testing and critique, she also helps cut out shapes on the band saw, she makes our wood conditioner, sands and de-burrs the soap dishes. She treasures a wooden gold-hinged box made of various wood pieces given to her by Charlie (her high school sweetheart) as an anniversary gift. She is a vital asset to our business as she operates and organizes all things pertaining to the office environment.
Overall, our mission is to provide you with high-quality affordable handmade, one of a kind, products with the hope that one day they will be passed on and become your family's heirloom and coveted pieces that you will want to share with the next generation.
Charlie will happily admit he has been wood carving from the age of 10 and that many of his honed techniques were handed down from his father, a traditional bow maker. Charlie has crafted many wooden treasures — from archery bows, to 3D picture art, and a cherished love knot wood spoon he carved for his mother and now as a specialist in creating kitchen tools and accessories. His craftsmanship can be felt in every culinary tool he creates. From an array of sizes and styles of spatulas and spoons, (including left hand tools) to charcuterie/serving boards which are useful for slicing bread or cheese and various designs of oven rack push and pulls. I just know you’ll feel and appreciate the combination of art and function in every creation.
These kitchen tools are not only
beautiful to look at, but also very useful.
We had a journalist describe our pieces as "buttery smooth" yet others have said, "it's too pretty to use for cooking" but their purpose is to be used, protected and cherished for their lifetime.
We want you to hold these pieces as if it always belonged in your hand and the only way to do that is to pick them up and touch them, not only feel them, but use them, because this is the way ...
(and to lend from a Maine tourist slogan,
which is similar in respect)
"the way kitchen tools should be."
Our goal is to improve and maintain all good natural life experiences any way that we can. And how we do that is by striving to continuously source the natural woods that surround our home and environment here in Maine's natural forest. Encouraging donations of select hardwood trees and then giving back in ways that are generous to our neighbors and communities here Maine. We enjoy giving back!
Wooden Way Creations wants to be your go to place for high quality, one of a kind, one-piece wooden kitchen tools and accessories along with offering a broad array of services geared to address today’s most common, yet useful household kitchen essentials.
Being in business over the past 5 years has brought us both much joy to see how folks react to our mutual love of wood. Our hope is that you find the same love, from the gift of wood, in the special piece(s) you take into your love of family and your home. Woliwon!!
